Do You Know How To Control the Point Of Contact?

Which would you rather do? Call your top 100 list of names on the phone using a twenty year old prospecting scripts or would you prefer your prospects approached and contacted you?

 The most effective way to contact your prospects is to attract them to you. How do you do that?

Well, if you can imagine what someone who’s looking for a business opportunity like yours is searching for, then you can position yourself to be found by them.

 

They Are Going To Google You
Today when you call someone from a list and they hear the name of your network marketing company, what’s the first thing they’ll do?

 As soon as you call and say “…I’m working part-time with a company called (your  company here)…” you can be sure that they are almost Goggling the name of your company while you’re talking. 

 It’s anyone’s guess what pages will show up, but using this approach can almost guarantee that you will be pummeled with questions  and comments about scams, schemes and pyramids right away. Why?

 First, it’s because YOU called them. Secondly, it’s because they weren’t looking for you when you called.

 

A Better Approach To Networking
Let’s look at a similar situation where the same person decided to look for an opportunity on their own by sitting down at their computer and typing in the phrase “working from home“.

Now imagine you have a series of articles, blogs and videos on that very subject and one of your articles resonates with the prospect.

Long story short, they visit your page, read about your marketing company, then provide you with their contact information.

The next day you call or email them to see if they need any assistance from you. Can you imagine that conversation being much different than the first scenario? Absolutely. That’s “Attraction Marketing”.

 

The Offline Approach Is Still Valuable
So what do you and say when you approach a prospective business partner in person? Many offline companies have a short elevator script that you can use when you meet a prospect in person.

The goal is to say it in your own words. What’s of greatest importance is that you practice, drill and rehearse until you know it hands down. 

Today, things have really changed even for the offline marketer. When you meet someone, you can now deliver your business card with a text message.

 

Do You Still Need To Be Scripted If You Are An Online Marketer?

You will eventually explain your business to someone in person. It would be a good idea to know what to say to people about what you do. Therefore it’s still important to know your presentation. We’ll discuss that in the next article.
