How to Work Your Network Marketing Business from Home

One of the cool things about running a network marketing business from home is that you can operate with a very simple set-up. There are some great stories of people who started with a beat up laptop and built very successful marketing businesses.
Many home-based business owners describe the feeling of working from home as freeing. Although you have this new found entrepreneurial freedom, there are a few challenges you will face becoming your own boss and working from home.
Keep Inspired
It’s very important that you keep a positive mental attitude when you begin working at home, especially at first. Because you are home, if you don’t live alone, it may be difficult to find privacy and space to work.
You can get discouraged when you don’t immediately get the results you are expecting. So read something encouraging every morning along with your personal affirmations.
Stay Connected
Your network marketing meetings are not just a place where you learn to market your products, they are also a way for you to stay connected with those who are facing and overcoming many of the same challenges.
Meetings, whether they be webinars, training meetings or seminars, are essential to the life of your business. No one becomes a success alone. You need the energy of others who are running the race with you. This way you are revitalized each week to keep going.
Keep a Daily Schedule
You should have a work schedule at home as if you were going to work outside your home. Yet the reality is that you might be inspired to work more because it’s your own business. But keep in mind that reading email is not work.
Checking email can be your biggest distraction when it comes to working from home. At a job, you have a supervisor that manages what you do and what time you do it. At home, you are the supervisor. So you are now required to discipline yourself. Plan your day by the half hour and remember to take breaks.
Plan What You Are Going To Do Today 
A task list will make life much easier for you. Every night right before you finish your work, it’s a good idea to make a list of things you will need to do the next day. This will help you keep your focus and give you greater control over your day.
An empty schedule can become filled with all kinds of superfluous things if you are not careful. Many hugely successful people will even schedule in 5 minute phone calls. The tighter the schedule, the less it can be intruded upon.
Keep Track Of Your Productivity
Rule is: If you can’t track it, don’t do it. It’s very important to know how many calls you make, people you got a response from, appointments you set and kept so you can track your results.
If you send out 50 email messages, it’s important to know how many people actually opened it and read it. If no one is opening your email, then you know that you need to test a few more “subject lines” that will inspire people to open it.
Then you want to track how many people clicked on the links you sent in the email. If you are using video email, you will want to track how many people actually opened it and watched it all the way through.
There is also a way to track the point at which people stopped watching your video. Then you can go in and revise the content.
If you are going to spend money and work hard to get leads, you want to make sure you manage your lead generation effectively so you get the best results from your efforts.
